Mazda CX-7

2010 Mazda CX-7
With
its zippy zoom-zoom persona, affordability and list of standard/optional luxury
features, the 2010 Mazda CX-7 stands tall next to the luxury crossovers, while
reveling in a class all by itself.
The 2010 Mazda CX-7 comes strapped
with a 244-horsepower, 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine: this leaves
the economy group way behind, and is competitive with luxury marques. The engine
is mated to a six-speed manually shiftable automatic transmission – again a
feature above most of the economy class, and even surpassing some luxury
crossover models. Fuel economy is in line with the luxury crossover group with
17-20 mpg in the city and 23-28 mpg on the highway. The Mazda CX-7 competes with
the likes of the Nissan Murano, Ford Edge and Toyota Highlander.
The
interior of the 2010 Mazda CX-7 is cozy, wrapped in leather and has a
respectable electronics package. Passenger and cargo room are on the low side of
the competition’s scale, but goodies like separate vents to deliver heat to rear
passengers come standard. Upgrade to the Grand Touring model and the CX-7 will
come standard with a glass power moonroof, DVD-based navigation system,
satellite radio, and an upgraded Bose stereo system.
While engineering
fun and speed into the CX-7, Mazda engineers did not fail to provide a safe
package. With front side airbags, and head airbags for the front and rear rows,
the 2010 CX-7 keeps occupants away from harm in the event of a collision. The
airbag offering, combined with a sturdy frame, gained the CX-7 a list of
Five-Star crash test ratings. To prevent accidents, all CX-7 models are equipped
with antilock brakes, brake assist, stability and traction control systems –
plus the responsive handling of the CX-7 may help the driver avoid accidents
even easier.
If you like to drive, but also want safety and the
convenience of a crossover’s cargo capacity, the 2010 Mazda CX-7 is the vehicle
for you. If you like to get luxury features like leather seating, a nice stereo,
and a navigation system at a price that won’t leave your wallet so empty it
floats out of your pocket, the 2010 Mazda CX-7 has you covered again.
